Play Therapy is for children experiencing a wide variety of social, emotional, behavioural, and learning problems including problems related to life stresses, such as divorce, relocation, hosptialisation, chronic illness and abuse. 

A child can benefit who : 

1.

Has nightmares or disturbed sleep.

2.

Is at risk of being excluded from school. 

3.

Has suffered trauma. 

4.

Has suffered emotional, physical or sexual abuse 

5.

Is adopted, fostered or is in the process of being. 

6.

Suffers because of separated or divorced parents. 

7.

Suffers from anxiety, stress or phobias.

8.

Has suffered loss or bereavement of any kind. 

9.

Is withdrawn and continually unhappy. 

10.

Is angry and doesn't want to do anything.

11.

Finds it difficult to make friends, bullies others or is bullied. 

12.

Displays sexualised behaviour or simply doesn't play. 

13.

No realizing his or her academic or social potential. 

14.

Has a disability, autistic or selective mutism, aADHD or lacking in confidence
